You may experience back pain at some points during your lifetime. Sometimes, back pain can be so serious that you cannot conduct your daily activities or your legs have become numb. In these situations, you should first go to the doctor.
However, not all back pain conditions need a prescription. You can also consider relieving your back pain naturally.
Relieve morning pain
When you get up in the morning, you may feel painful and stiff and cannot even sit down. You can try putting a hot compress under your back when lying down with face up or on your back lying down face to the floor. The heat can help warm your muscles, relieve stiffness and increase the blood flow to your back. However, do not use a compress that is too hot as it can damage your skin tissue.
Do laughter yoga
Laughter yoga is a type of yoga that helps people improve their health condition by laughing. When you laugh, your body intakes more oxygen, reduces stress and produces more endorphins (the hormone that helps relieve pain naturally). In addition, laughter yoga is a mild physical exercise. You can take it up if other exercises are too exerting and painful for your back.
You can get massages regularly at home or at any health centers. Massages help reduce stress, relaxing your muscles and encourage your body to produce more endorphins. You can consider getting a massage on a table or on a massage chair depending on your needs.
Change your sleeping position
Sleep position can affect your back pain condition. Some positions can increase pain, some decrease it. Thus, you should try various positions to find out which one is the best for you. Sleeping in a reclining position might also help. You may also try to sleep on a special chair or a comfortable bed for better support.
In modern times, it is common to sit at a desk all day for work or study. However, do not keep this sitting position for too long. Every 20 minutes, you should stand up and stretch your body, such as your back, legs and arms. Also consider doing mild exercises as they can help relax your muscles and warm up your body.
Keep your muscles strong
When you have back pain, it is important to keep your muscles strong. Strong muscles, such as in the hips and pelvis, give better support to your back.
For serious back pain, seeking medical treatment is the best choice. However, most cases are not that serious where using natural pain-relieving remedies may be worth trying.
