Beaming mothers and fathers lined the stage of the Carthage School District auditorium Saturday, holding cooing babies in their arms.
More than 100 babies competed in the baby and toddler pageants, a long-standing tradition that is part of the city’s Maple Leaf Festival.
They were followed by the Little Miss and Little Mister, the Prince and Princess, and the Queen pageants on Sunday.
Among the proud fathers was Mason Siebert, of Carthage. His 1-year-old son, Major Siebert, was chosen by a panel of judges as the first-place winner among males in the 10- to 12-month category.
